Carbon emissions at Hasanuddin University are calculated using commonly used standards. The calculation of carbon emissions at Hasanuddin University is shown below:

The reduction of the carbon footprint has been carried out by Hasanuddin University with using renewable energy and the restriction of motor vehicle use. Renewable energy is generated through various mini power plants, such as solar (SPP), wind (WPP), hydro (HPP), biodiesel (BPP), and steam turbines with electric boilers.
